Bohol Travel Requirements

Now that we have an idea of what to do in Bohol, let’s prepare the things to do before indulging ourselves in paradise!

Disclaimer: As of July 2022, here are the requirements when traveling to Bohol. Remember to check the local government’s sites to be updated on the requirements as it is changing frequently.

Requirements for Fully Vaccinated Tourists

  1. Vaccination Card – COVID-19 Vaccination card or certification issued by the LGU. Vaxcert from vaxcert.doh.gov.ph is acceptable as well. 
  1. Valid ID

Requirements for Unvaccinated or Partially Vaccinated Tourists

  1. RT-PCR taken within 72 hours prior to arrival 
  2. Valid ID
  3. Children aged 11 years old, accompanied by fully vaccinated parents/ guardians traveling to Bohol are no longer required to undergo RT-PCR testing.

How To Get To Tagbilaran, Bohol

If you are coming from Manila, the fastest and easiest way is by plane which only lasts for around 1 hour and 15 minutes.

There are many airlines like CebuPacific, Air Asia, and Philippine Airlines (PAL), and others that offer flights from Manila (MNL) to Tagbilaran City, Bohol (TAG). 

If you have taken a side trip from Cebu and are planning to visit Bohol, some ferries can take you from Cebu to Bohol within just two hours!

Amazing, right?

There are also options for tourists to choose which ferry to ride – the fast ferry which has a travel time of 1.5-2 hours, or the option which is called “RoRo”.

The travel time for this is doubled. However, if you are planning to bring vehicles, this is the ferry to choose.
